How come it didnt matter,

Those pictures of love

of you and me, holding hands,

of immortalized feelings,

the fingers intertwined.

How come they don’t matter

the promises you said you will keep

the memories of throwing our

heads back and all the laughs

why did it not matter

those long drives and soft music,

that dimpled smile

merging in mine

Why did it not matter

those crazy late night rides

the sound of your big bike,

the beating of our hearts,

the rhythm it had.

How come it doesn’t matter

that we don’t have those

black and white frames anymore

that we don’t shout out to the world

of our love

How come it doesn’t matter

that we don’t dance in the rain

that we don’t have any more

memories

that we don’t starve for each other.

That we were meant to be different,

to belong together.

Those black and white frames,

They don’t exist,

How come it doesn’t matter anymore?
